Chemical Extraction

CHEMICAL EXTRACTION (BY SOLVENT) The solvent extraction is an efficient method to extract the vegetal oil. The most utilized solvent is the one derived from the “hexane” oil, a mix of hydrocarbons with ebullition point around 70 C. The solvent’s passage through the raw material, previously prepared, is called “washing”. The solvent’s diffusion will be quicker according to how good is the raw material’s preparation and how high is the extraction temperature (next to the solvent’s ebullition temperature). During the extraction process, several equipment are utilized: extractor, desolventizer, evaporators, condensers, process tanks and finishing columns.

Composed of one or more discontinuous extractors, vertical cylindrical shape, loading head, unloading head, indirect steam heating system and possibility of direct steam injection, with socket for entrance and exit of liquids and gases. Complementary equipment: evaporators and condensers Tanks: separator, solvent, hot water, micelle and oil. Centrifugal pumps, with gears and type liquid ring vacuum pump. Water chilling tower with water circulation pumps.

Technical Caracteristics

With explosion-proof motors and electric installation. Production capacity projected according to the client’s needs and determined by the quantity and capacity of the extractor.

Composed of: Continuous extractor, desolventizer (and toaster when necessary), homogenizer and gas washer, evaporators and condensers, tanks, separator, solvent, hot water, micelle and oil. Centrifugal pumps, of gears and vacuum injectors, water chilling tower with water circulation pumps.
